The Economics Society

Shiv Nadar University

Established in 2014, The Economics Society of Shiv Nadar University, extensively known as EcoSoc-SNU, constitutes a mélange of students brought together by their love for the subject. One of the main objectives of the Society is to extend knowledge and application of Economics as a subject beyond classroom teaching. It is an active space that facilitates, supports and organizes events and conversations about the economic, political and social issues.

It has been holding talks, discussion sessions and coordinating a plethora of events apart from organizing an Annual Economics Fest. We, The R&C team engage to present an atypical perspective on diverse issues as we are attempting to integrate economics with current events, history and investigate various principles and phenomena. We aspire to explore beyond the boundaries of academics and ponder beyond the barriers of the convention to express the essence of the ‘Dismal Science’ through this platform.
